Well I have enjoyed this Tucker history class too. I think TUCKER deserves his gold star without a doubt. I will watch this thread for any new revelations as well as the Benchmark site, but I also think the homework is done for now. Hopefully I will get to meet my classmates at the 2009 convention and maybe even Professor Mr. Blue Egg ( I really liked that one).

A few good sheetmetal men like P. Tucker used could make another "Tin Goose" easily. That would really make this place exciting, eh? Dig up a '71-'73 Rivera and make the window fit by cutting a bit? I predict that before I leave this planet there will be a few more "Secret Projects" discovered. Probably a Torpedo/Camino.

I have more easter eggs myself. Look at the new post "Mystery Car #2" and you will find another part of this same story and how the two cars go together along with a mystery car you have heard about before and you will see how this 1057 parts are diferent from the late model Tuckers after 1050.

I know it is fun but looks like nobody care to find nothing. I found almost the complete story and it is not easy. First you have to know all the cars that were together at the beguining and they all have clues, very clear clues to the answer of the car with the big back window. All the clues show that it is still around us but never seen the light till this day. I know nobody care about all this other cars and just 1057 convertible and that is why they will never see what I have discovered after 1000s of hours of work that this convertible opened the door for me to all the other clues. This person likes to play games with us with clues on each car! It is true and you can find out on your own. When 1027/1018/1052 was sold included three clues and are very easy to see for me now after all this work, frame 1018 also have a clue as well as 1051 and 1052. I found them all and thrue all this many parts were lost, enough to complete one more body! But wait there is another clue, in one of the photos from this person who like to play games there is a diferent rear fender, Tucker fender that is hidden behind other parts but when car was sold this fender was not in the lot! I have the photo here with me and you may also have it if you are a "Tuckerist" and you may just see it without noteing the fender! All this are clues from "Mr Clues" or Mr Clues Group" to play with us. You will not believe how this web of mystery cars show the light at the end of the road.

I'm into this big time, but I'm not as "schooled" as you are to find what you are talking about. I see what might be a fender in the back seat of the one photo.

Ok, hood is not from 1027 since that hood is with the 1018 red frame at this time. But it can be the hood from 1018?

Well there is another Tucker Tin Goose but it is no secret. It is all made of sheet metal formed by hand with hamers and dolies and other car panels all welded together! 1000s of hours of work to make a new Tin Goose that will be on the streets when finished for exeryone to enjoy.

Hi, here are new updates to show you there is no 1057 on back window car on the back! It is 1055 but due to the heavy rust there were some changes made! New inner wheel well panels were from 1018 before they had the design to reinforce the back section. Ouch! that may cause some damage to the back if driven unless they reinforced the frame well enough! Remember This is like a new unibody car from 1948! . Well they had to patch that heavy rust to attach the reat fenders and they did. Part of the old inner wheel well was also overlaped! Good job Al, that worked good! the photos show sections of body #1055 and 1057 big back window also body 1054 have this design. Also See photo from 1003, the third photo of the early design.

The inner fender panel has pressed re-inforcing ribs on it, and the others don't which one is right for a concours restoration?

The naked steel one is of 1003, its possible that at some point in the production run, they changed the design.

I'd venture to say one is machine stamped and one is hand formed.
